The City of Quincy Public Works takes public safety very seriously. With the advisory in affect, we will be monitoring the weather closely. If we get the projected amount that is forecasted for our area, we will have crews out early on plows. Streets are plowed according to priority:1. Emergency Routes2. School Bus Routes3. Downtown and Primary Routes4. Avenues5. Residential6. Approved Senior and Disabled Driveway Windrows When we move to residential, we would like to ask residents to move vehicles off the streets so we can get the streets clear for safety. We would also like to remind residents that when shoveling driveways and sidewalks, snow is to be deposited on your property, NOT in the street. Shoveling snow from your property into the streets is against City code and could result in a fine (QMC Chapter 12.28.040). Throwing snow in the street, especially after the streets have been plowed, can lead to frozen bumps. We appreciate your patience and your assistance. Please drive safely.
