The role of the Finance Department is to present sound financial information to the City Council, Mayor, Management, and to the citizens of Quincy. This information helps Council make informed decisions to improve the quality of the City, making it a more desirable community to live in. The Finance Department works hand in hand with the Public Works, Police, Building & Planning, and Recreation Departments. The Finance Department takes payments for utility bills, yard sale permits, dance permits, and other money as needed. We work to promote efficient and effective use of public resources within these departments as well as for the City as a whole.
